Description
I tried getting a little tricky with this piece, and I believe I was only partially successful. This is illustrating a scene in which Chicky must escape from the center of a gargantuan maze, and does so by surfing a sarcophagus along a wave of scarab beatles. If this were animated, I'd see it as a long panning shot that started at the top and followed the red beatles' path on down to the foreground, which would be static except for a continuous backward roll of the wall and bug layers, leaving Chicky to be balancing on the sarcophagus or slap-fighting the mummy's arms or whatever. Anyway, it's some crazy go nuts stuff, let me know how you like it.

Great stuff. The angular embelishments look Aztec or Mayan, but really not Egyptian. It's an awesome shot and really dynamic. You seem to be really deft at cartoon art. No boring static shots.
The composition leads you from top to bottom, which I think adds to the motion, so kudos! The colours are great too!
One crit. I think that the mounds of scarabs are a little obscure as they look a little rushed, so it looks a bit like autumn leaves especially with the gradient and no texture, rather than mounds of insects. Maybe more time spent on the outlines of the scarabs would really shift it away from leaves, which was what I initially thought they were. I only thought different because of the flying scarabs thrown about.
