Pixel Castle by mallaard Pixel Castle by mallaard
This is a little scene I illustrated for mine and Megan's wedding invitation. I'd never worked with pixel art before starting on our wedding invites/RSVP/save-the-dates, but now that I'm getting a handle on things I'm really enjoying it. For some reason DA wouldn't let me label a jpeg as pixel art, so maybe this isn't super-real official pixel art, I don't know.

That's me on the bottom holding up the engagement ring, with our cat Molly behind me, and Megan with our cat Archie is at the top of the castle.

Thanks! I guess you could say my wife was the supervisor of this picture. I'd never worked with pixel art before, but seeing how fun it is I'll definitely have to do more some time.

Having worked in ultra-low resolution graphics, I have a much stronger appreciation for what video game artists accomplished in the 8 and 16-bit days.
