Artist's Comments

For me, flying saucers are a fascinating subject because they are a perfect icon of the unknown, and not just the unknown, but the unknowable. Is the believer a fool for attributing meaning to that which is meaningless? Is the skeptic a fool for denying meaning to the obvious? For human beings, coming into contact with the unknown can be calming, encouraging, refreshing, or it can be terrifying. Perhaps a little of both? I honestly don't know if I believe in fringe, pseudo-scientific, conspiratorial stories...all I know is I like them. So you gotta ask yourself; when a huge alien spacecraft lands in the middle of your city, what's your reaction gonna be? Maybe that too is unknowable, and no skeptic or believer in the world can tell you for sure.

They've come back to see how we're doing. I don't know about you, but I'd pretty much be flipping out if I saw this thing land in my neighborhood. Return of the Gods II by ~mallaard sets the appropriate atmosphere to the confusion and chaos of this awestricken event. (Suggested by ~pretty-cool-huh and Featured by `halfliquid)

Jesus Christ this should be a DD!!!! Fantastic job, I love the colors you chose. That's funny, because when I first saw the lineart, I thought the action took place during the morning :) But now I see it was obviously during sunset... or maybe early morning? :P

Good picture ... I look forward to seeing more of your work

That which you discard ... I shall thrive upon.
Those that you ignore ... I shall listen to.
And that which you wish for .... I shall already have.

Gorgeous. You're prospective is flawless. The buildings and the people all integrate perfectly even though the camera angle you chose is espicaly difficult to draw.

Well Deric, I'll give it to you straight. I am really really enthused about this. THe line art was pretty remarkable, and with the color it really brings together some elements while pushing out others. I like the little alterations. A lot. The perspective and detail are among the things to admire, but hell, it's about the craziness. Why, I remember when I ran from a giant flying object invading my town. Plus favs it buddy.
