Why do Bebop and Rocksteady not get any love in the modern TMNT incarnations? In the latest Nickelodeon show, they've done just about everything possible to reboot, reinvent, or at least reference almost every classic element of the TMNT mythos, from Baxter turning into a fly to the reinvention of Kraang, and they more or less brought back the mutant turtle and dog from the second live action movie, but aside from a sly little joke in one episode, they refuse to do anything with Bebop and Rocksteady. The 2004 series ignored them as well. Is there some general hatred for those two, or is there more to it? I'm wondering if they were somehow trademarked by Fred Wolf studios, who made the 80s cartoon, and for some reason cannot legally be used by any of the new studios. If anyone has any ideas or theories please let me know. I'm just curious.

Yep, they definitely appeared as humans in "The Legend of Kuro Kabuto" and there's apparently some mutant designs that have been leaked. I do hope that they come back, Bebop and Rocksteady were my favorite part of the 80's cartoon and I was quite sad that they never appeared in 2k3. I also wish for Hun and Bishop, as they were my favorite 2k3 characters.
